The Auanders - Francesco Ponticelli

Francesco Ponticelli has played an important role in Text(Us), not only as a double bass and bass player, but also as a composer of “Ottimo!” (arranged by Enrico Zanisi) The list of all the great musicians he has collaborated with is very impressive (Giovanni Guidi, Roberto Cecchetto, Chris Cheek, Simone Graziano, Maria Pia De Vito, Dan Weiss, Shane Endsley, Peter Bernstein, Roberta Gambarini, just to name a few) and very impressive is the studio where the recording session of “Text(Us)” took place, Cicaleto House Concerts, which is Ponticelli’s new recording studio - a magical historical house in the countryside of Arezzo. The Auanders are people who share a vision and a goal: spreading beauty, avoiding the easy win in the contemporary music business, pushing boundaries while innovating sounds as well as the composition process. The Auanders - Francesco Diodati

JazzTimes has just defined Francesco Diodati in their August issue as, "essential to its particular realization of ensemble form" and someone who "thinks beyond his guitar", sharing the frontpage with artists such as Wayne Krantz, Ralph Towner, Wolfgang Muthspiel, Ed Bickert. Francesco is the composer of "The Boat" - the closing track of Text(Us). This is the first time that Francesco has someone else to arrange his composition (Francesco Panconesi). This is the Auanders, people who share a vision and a goal: spreading beauty, avoiding the easy win in the contemporary music business, pushing boundaries while innovating sounds as well as the composition process. YLYNE - Serial Red (Live Set)

Song - Serial Red (YLYNE - Ab+) Music - Frank Martino Visuals - Luca Scapellato Live @ Centro Stabile Di Cultura, 10.02.19 S. Vito di Leguzzano (VI, IT) YLYNE is the new electronic music project of the guitarist and composer Frank Martino. His music is based on compositions and original remixes in a live-set version with the employment of a laptop, samplers, drum machines, analog synths and crazy fx. YLYNE’s music is not classifiable in a precise genre of electronic music, but it’s a result of electro, dubstep, trip-hop, trap influences. YLYNE is not just electronic, but it contains sampled sounds from the surroundings, like metal sheets, toaster sounds, tea and coffee cups and sheeps. YLYNE’s live is not a usual one because of the continuous improvisation due to the use of great equipments, a damaged brain and crazy beats. © 2019 AUAND Beats

Floors

F L O O R S Francesco Diodati - guitar, electronics Francesco Ponticelli - double bass, electronics Filippo Vignato - trombone, efx Firenze, august 2018 Floors is collective project formed by three of the most intriguing young musicians of the new Italian jazz scene. Francesco Ponticelli, Francesco Diodati and Filippo Vignato founded the trio driven by a common vision of research that superimposes acoustic sound to electronics, used in real time by all of them. The name of the band itself evokes a layered and stratified music, with a look at minimalism, at polyrhythmic paths and at the same strong attention to melody and lyricism. The repertoire, mostly composed of original music written by the three musicians, was premiered at world re-known Umbria Jazz Festival in July 2018.
